What are Bonsai Root Hooks used for?

Root Hooks are used to free up compaction and heavily bound root balls. Sometimes you just need a little extra heavy artillery to complete the job. A good quality root hook will have 1, 2 or 3 prongs made from Cast Iron which can stand up to heavy work.

Should i get a single, double or triple root hook?

This comes down to the size of the root ball you are working on. For smaller trees you can get a single root hook, but if you are working with a large root ball you might need a triple root hook to cover 3x the area a single root hook would.

What size root hook should i get?

Much like the single double or triple prong question the size root hook you will get will depend on the size trees you are working with. if you have mostly medium to large trees go for 200+mm if you have mostly smaller trees go for < 200mm.
